The Gable Faces East

This book is called the Gable Faces East. It is by Anita Stansfield. She is an amazing author who is LDS. She expresses positive views about the LDS religion and all with an intriguing twist. The Gable Faces East is a historical romance fiction with remarkable characters.

Jess Davies is a perfectly normal man, with perfectly normal enemies. After his mother is killed in a house fire, Jess convinces himself that his enemy Chad Byrnehouse was responsible for the fire. For as long as Jess can remember, his and the Byrnhouse family have hated each other.

After a tragic accident, Alexa Byrnehouse finds herself in desperate need for a job, a home, and money. Her only option is to turn to Jess Davies, a family enemy for a job. The job is more than she could've hoped for, plus more.

This story will NOT let you put it down. Things come when you least expect in this book, which is amazing! I stayed up long hours because I couldn't stop reading. This is one of my favorite books and I hope you can have the same experience.

The Lovely Bones

Ok so this book was magical!

It was a great read. It is the ONLY book that has ALMOST made me cry. (I would like to note that I have never before cried at a book.

It's about a girl named Susie who is raped and killed. The story is from her point of view in heaven looking down on her family, friends, crush, and killer.

You get into the world of a messed up teen who never had the chance to live and you see what it is like. It is almost as if you were in her place. You see her in pain, happy, grief, and agitation. She is no regular teen after she dies. Her parents get divorced, her sister gets a a boyfriend, her my cheats on her dad, her wild grandma moves in, and her brother claims that he sees her.

This book will take you through a magical world of a disturbed girl. You should definitely read it. You will never ever read another book quite like this one.

Twilight

This book is the best book I've EVER read! I personally think they are better than Harry Potter! Now, if you know me, you'd probably say, "Wow, I never thought she'd say anything was better than Harry Potter!" because for a while, Harry Potter was my favorite series. But then, I read this!!

Isabella Swan (Bella) moves in with her father in a dreary, cold town called Forks. She'd thought she would hate it there. But then she meets mysterious, handsome Edward Cullen. She falls in love with him but she finds out what he truly is, a vampire. He and his "vegetarian" family have moved around a lot to find a stable place to live, and they picked Forks. As Bella learns to accept him and his family into her life for what they are, she loves them even more. Bella finds herself in mortal danger as she has to choose life or death. But which is which?

From New Moon:

I knew we were both in mortal danger. Still, in that instant, I felt well. Whole. I could feel my heart racing in my chest, the blood pulsing hot and fast through my veins again. My lungs filled deep with the sweet scent that came off his skin. It was like there had never been any hole in my chest. I was perfect--not healed, but as if there had never been a wound in the first place.

I felt like I was trapped in one of those terrifying nightmares, the one where you have to run, run till your lungs burst, but you can't make your body move fast enough. . . . But this was no dream, and, unlike the nightmare, I wasn't running for my life; I was racing to save something infinitely more precious. My own life meant little to me today.

These books made me cry. Especially New Moon. But I have to warn you, you might end up staying up really late because you can't put the book down!!! I finished all three of these books in 6 days! Call me a nerd, but it's true!!

Welcome to my book club. Right now, it's only me reading the books so, I won't have very many at a time. Right now, I'm reading 5 books!! So, if you would like to be a contributor and help me read books and review them, you can reply to this message. These books can be anything that is appropriate. Look for books with little or no swear words and appropriate story lines. Basically, anything good!
